About Our 7-12 Choirs

The Morgan Junior High School choir (grades 7-8) largely focuses on creating an atmosphere of teamwork, good choral singing, and having fun. Most of these students are new to choir and new to the junior high school, creating a vastly different setting for each and every student.

Students work on anything from pop songs to music from Broadway, from singing in English to singing in Latin, and providing festive music in the winter seasons! MJHS most recently performed at the 2022 OMEA Junior High Large Group Contest and received a "Good" rating while receiving very helpful comments.

The MHS Choir (grades 9-12) focuses on furthering students' musicianship skills, noticing details, working in small groups, and taking what we are working on to the next level. Outside of the music room, our students are involved with Drama Club, National Honor Society, Band, Basketball, Football, Carpentry, E-Sports, Raider Faith, and much more. Students may join Choir at any point during their high school career regardless of previous singing experience!

Our choir performed Class C music at the 2022 OMEA Large Group Contest and received an "Excellent" rating. Students can opt to perform at District 9 Solo and Ensemble to keep improving on their vocal technique. Many students are nominated and accepted to honor choirs in the region and get to perform intricate, challenging music with other great student-musicians in the region.
